is looking for a committed and experienced Higher
Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
to join our dedicated SEND Hub Staff
Team
. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a highly respected
provision delivering tailored teaching and learning support and interventions
for pupils with complex needs.

About the Role:

As a key
member of the SEND team, the HLTA will:

  • Work under the guidance of
    the SENCO and class teachers to plan, deliver and assess children in our
    EYFS/KS1 or KS2 SEND Hub. A place where a small number of children with
    EHCP’s enjoy a bespoke environment and curriculum to meet their needs.
  • Support pupils with a range
    of needs including ASC, ADHD, communication difficulties, and
    social-emotional challenges.
  • Lead small group sessions
    and 1:1 support with a focus on progress, engagement, and wellbeing.
  • Liaise with families and
    external agencies to support EHCP outcomes.
  • Model inclusive practice
    and promote independence, resilience, and confidence in learners.
  • Contribute to the overall
    development of the SEND Hub, including staff PD and resource development.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status /
    Qualified HLTA status (or equivalent) with recent experience in a primary
    or special school setting.
  • A sound understanding of
    SEND and inclusive education practices.
  • Empathy, patience, and
    creativity in supporting children with additional needs for whom the
    mainstream classroom is currently unsuitable
  • Excellent communication and
    teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt strategies
    to meet a wide range of learning profiles.
  • Working knowledge of the
    EYFS curriculum
  • A strong commitment to
    safeguarding and child protection.
